VISIT THE AUGUSTA WINE TRAIL: The Road Worth Traveling
Augusta Wine Trail
When our German settlers first arrived to this region in the 1800s, it reminded them of everything they loved about their homeland. The sweeping vistas of the Missouri River valley, the Osage Ridge.
These hard-scrabble few soon created a new way of life and an entire community centered on wine-growing and wine-making. Vineyards and cozy farmsteads began to line the bluffs. Wine took on the role as the center of the community.
As the Augusta Wine Trail and America’s First AVA, we promise to you that we will never compromise our sacred practices of artisan winemaking. We will honor the Earth and our German heritage. And you won’t be disappointed.
Our promise to you starts with the soil. We promise that the ground on which you stand when you visit us will be held sacred. That means that we will be good stewards of the land and keep this region beautiful…
